New Cherokee set for release

1st August 2008

Jeep has announced that its new up-market Cherokee model is available for release.

The all new Cherokee will be available with a 2.8 litre diesel engine and a choice of manual or automatic gearbox, with leather interior, climate control, electric windows and cruise control as standard.

The all terrain car manufacturer has not however forgotten about the Cherokee's famous 4x4 ability. The 2008 model contains the new Selec-Trac II four wheel drive system making it ideal for road driving and towing.

Nigel Land, marketing director of Chrysler UK, said: "Current Cherokee owners won’t recognise the interior of the new car when it gets launched this August.

"This is a thoroughly modern family car and the value for money this Jeep offers cannot be ignored."

Jeep is the world's oldest sport utility vehicle brand and is the registered trademark of the American car manufacturer Chrysler - it originally supplied military vehicles to the allies in the Second World War.ADNFCR-1784-ID-18712676-ADNFCR
