Vauxhall launch new Insignia

22nd July 2008

Vauxhall launched its new Insignia at the British International Motor Show today (July 22nd) with an entry price of just under £16,000.

The 1.8 litre Insignia Exclusive will cost just £15,935 and will include automatic headlights, electric driver's seat, cruise control, front side and curtain airbags, climate control and ABS as standard.

This entry level model is joined by two further petrol engines - the 2.0 litre turbocharged four cylinders and a 2.8 litre turbocharged V6 - as well as two new 2.0 litre diesels, which are sure to please car insurance customers.

All Insignias will include a range of innovative features, such as the Front Camera System - which warns drivers when they veer out of their land - and the 'Hot Shot' heated windscreen wash system.

In a piece of elaborate marketing by Vauxhall, the Insignia was unveiled in the Shadow of Tower Bridge yesterday when it was suspended in the air and dropped 45 metres onto a stage.
