Alfa Romeo Guilietta tops safest car poll
8th June 2010
Car insurance customers looking to cut the number of claims they make could benefit from taking the Alfa Romeo Guilietta for a spin, new research has suggested.
The vehicle has been awarded the prestigious Euro NCAP five-star rating with an overall score of 87 per cent, making it the safest compact car ever made.
According to Alfa Romeo, the rating sheds light on the vehicle's range of safety systems, including an electronic dynamic control device for traction and emergency braking, as well as MSR technology developed to prevent wheel locking.
The manufacturer said: "This major accolade yet again confirms Alfa Romeo's special commitment to all aspects relating to the protection of all road users. The Alfa Romeo Giulietta was designed and built to obtain maximum passive and active safety performance."
Earlier this month, the 2010 JD Power and Associates/What Car? Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study revealed that drivers in the UK are most impressed by Lexus vehicles.
