Ferrari voted 'most iconic badge'

9th September 2009

Car insurance customers have voted Ferrari's prancing horse logo the most iconic car badge in the world, in a poll commissioned by car show MPH and featuring Top Gear Live.

British sports car manufacturer and James Bond favourite Aston Martin took the second spot, followed by Lamborghini's raging bull in third.

However, Ferrari's long history of F1 performance, which stretches back to 1950, and reputation for producing some of the most aspirational supercars on the market meant that almost half (48 per cent) of car insurance customers polled chose the horse.

The poll was put together by MPH The Prestige and Performance Motor Show in order to highlight the array of high performance vehicles on display at the annual show in Earl's Court and Birmingham's NEC in November.

A line-up of supercars including a Ferrari F430, a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Caparo T1 and a Spyker C8 will all rev their engines in the Start Up Area segment of this year's show.
