New Toyota Land Cruiser to be unveiled in Frankfurt

Car insurance customers are to be been given a peek at Toyota's new generation Land Cruiser at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show.
The new UK land cruiser, which will be available exclusively as a five-door model with seven seats, is powered by a revised 171bhp 3.0-litre D-4D diesel engine with a five-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel economy and carbon emissions have also been improved by 5.1 per cent and 4.5 per cent respectively compared with the most recent Land Cruiser, while insulating frame-to-body mounts absorb engine, drivetrain and road noise.
However, car insurance customers are likely to be most excited by the new-generation Land Cruiser's multi-terrain select option, which automatically controls power and braking to optimise performance on all types of road surfaces.
Toyota recently announced that it is achieving year-on-year carbon emissions reductions in Europe, with 14 of its facilities now powered by renewable energy leading to a 17 per cent cut in emissions.
