Cheap car insurance for "extreme drivers"

Thu, 27 Oct 2005

An insurance company has proved that a customer's profession does not have to affect car insurance costs.

Cover for "extreme drivers" doesn't have to be a logistical nightmare, says specialist insurance company, Hyperformance

Providing cover for high performance vehicles such as sports cars, Hyperformance has examined insurance implications for those with unusual or extreme jobs.

Insurance companies taking all the facts of individual cases into consideration should be able to offer cheap car insurance deals to most customers, the insurance provider has found.

"Putting the words 'racing' and 'driver' together and then adding 'insurance' might seem a recipe for trouble but the facts and the statistics tell a different story," said Hyperformance spokesperson, Steve McPherson.

"Whilst this is an extreme example, the point is that by treating every customer as an individual we are able to negotiate rates for those that many other companies would not cover."

A similar principal for cheap car insurance can be applied to young drivers, motorists with driving convictions, or high performance vehicle owners, Mr PcPherson also pointed out.
