Directory helps out with car insurance queries
Thu, 22 Dec 2005
A new 432 page Dictionary of Travel and Tourism Terminology is set to help drivers to deal with car insurance queries when driving outside the UK.
The book's author Professor Allan Beaver from the University of Bournemouth founded the Beaver Travel company in Radlett 43 years ago and has already written three separate versions of his book, Mind Your Own Travel Business.
Professor Beaver's new dictionary covers all aspects of the travel industry, providing detailed information on transport and foreign currency, as well as ancillary services such as car insurance and rental.
"The first edition has become the standard work in its field; this second edition has been completely revised," Professor Beaver told the Herts Advertiser.
"It is by far the most comprehensive dictionary in its field featuring 7,000 definitions ranging from one line up to a 3,000 word monograph."
The dictionary is published by CABI Publishing and covers the differences which exist between European and US tourism.
