New commuting vehicle developed

A Welsh company is working on a new commuting vehicle that aims to combine the comfort of a car with the dynamics of a motorbike, it has been reported.
The Naro, a one metre wide, four wheel vehicle, which can seat two people with the passenger sitting behind the driver, should be capable of fuel consumption of up to 100 miles per gallon.
Incorporating many of the safety features found in a car, the Naro has the potential to save consumers money on their car insurance as well as their fuel.
Manufacturers plan to license the platform for development of the commuter vehicle as a single-passenger taxi cab and a city delivery vehicle, which will have positive implications for consumers since insurance fees for these types of vehicles are markedly smaller than for regular cars.
"We are still in the research stage at the moment and will test the technology on a 'mule' vehicle later this year," Hugh Kemp from the Naro Car Company told the BBC.
Mr Kemp also said that company felt "confident" of the market demand for cars like the Naro, and that the vehicle could help to cut both congestion and pollution levels in the UK's cities.
The Naro Car Company hopes to annually produce some 1,500 of the new vehicles by 2008.
