Top white van slogans revealed
Tue, 09 May 2006
A nationwide poll has revealed the UK's most popular slogans that can be found scrawled on the back of dirty white vans up and down Britain's motorways.
The poll looked at the slogans drivers found the most amusing on their car journeys, with the surprise winner of the poll being the phrase "If only my wife was this dirty", while the classic "clean me" nowhere to be seen in the top ten.
Other favourites included "Also available in white", which made it to second place, and "White with a hint of M42" at number three.
However, it seems that there the imagination of the British motorist ends, with other entries in the top ten being along the lines of "And your mother said I was dirty " or "Dirty but fun".
"For sale: mop and bucket never used" was also the ninth favourite.
Drivers are advised, however, not to get to close to the van in front in order to read such slogans despite their obvious hilarity as tailgating a white van man could cause an accident and may mean losing that no claims bonus on your car insurance policy.
