Welsh 'most demanding' over motors

Fri, 06 Jan 2006

Recent data has revealed that the Welsh are the most demanding when it comes to getting the best deal on a car or related products such as car insurance.

According to a survey of 2,000 drivers by Experian, around 63 per cent of Welsh consumers negotiate harder in order to get the best deal and were termed as 'high-maintenance' customers. Scottish and English customers followed closely behind, it was found.

In total, almost half of those questioned said that they would complain if they felt they had received bad service and added that they were likely to let their friends and families know if they had had a negative experience with a car dealer, reported Auto Industry.

In England, those from the north-east of the country were found to be the most likely to take their custom elsewhere if they did not receive adequate service, the survey found. However, residents in this region were also revealed to be the least likely to make a formal complaint to those involved.
