Convicted Driver
Drink drive teen caught again
Fri, 17 Mar 2006
The UK's youngest drink driver has been caught again.
The 14-year-old girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, first received a driving ban at the age of 12 and has now been caught again.
Appearing before Newbury magistrates, she admitted to taking a vehicle without consent, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified and drink driving.
The girl had been drinking at a party and then took her parents' car without their knowledge.
Two years ago she tried a similar stunt after a Christmas party and then became Britain's youngest drunk driver.
The case was adjourned while sentencing reports are prepared but she could be locked up.
When her trouble is over and the teen starts driving legally she may find it necessary to turn to convicted driver insurance to find a better deal to get on the road.
