Drivers urged to shop around for insurance

Drivers are being urged to check their car insurance provision as they may be able to find cheaper rates elsewhere.
With the latest registrations due to come in on September 1st – traditionally a time when a number of new models are bought by consumers – experts are advising drivers to make the most of a competitive market.
Richard Mason, director of insuresupermarket.com, said that consumers could select the specific policy that would suit them best.
"No one policy is ever cheapest for every situation so it’s essential to shop around for your car insurance," he explained.
He added that this also applied to different types of drivers- whether in relation to " lower risk drivers" or specific policies such as the provision of convicted driver insurance.
