Women's Car Insurance
British cars carry 1,059 tonnes of rubbish

New research has found that British cars are carrying 1,059 tonnes of litter and women are the biggest culprits.
Car care firm Comma found the average car contains one drink bottle, one empty crisp packet, two chocolate bar wrappers and three parking tickets, but women drivers tended to have dirtier cars, in part due to the fact they were more likely to be ferrying children around.
Women drivers were also less likely to clean their cars.
While eight per cent of male drivers clean their cars weekly, no women do so and four in ten female drivers admitted to letting rubbish collect for months before doing anything about it.
The biggest excuse for not cleaning the inside of a car, given by 39 per cent of motorists, was that no one could see, and one in five said their cars did not get as dirty as the outside.
However, the research also showed that the average car is home to around 500 different colonies of germs and moulds, including Staphylococcus and Bacillus.
While women may have the dirtier cars, by opting for a women's car insurance policy they can clean up and be motoring for less than a tidy man.
