Women's Car Insurance

Live together, drive alike

Mon, 27 Feb 2006

New research has found that women and men who live to together also share the same bad driving habits.

A report from the Israeli Bar-Ilan University found that husbands who jump red lights, switch lanes without warning and drive like they rule the road tend to have wives that do the same.

Generally aggressive and reckless driving wives had aggressive and reckless driving husbands.

The findings also rang true for the opposite sort, in that being cautious behind the wheel was often both a wife's and husband's habit.

Although partners share bad driving skills there is no reason for men and women to share insurance. With a specialist women's car insurance policy it could be possible to save.

This is because generally women were found to be more careful drivers.

The report, entitled Transportation Research, found although gender differences between driving blurred when people lived together, generally men drove faster, worried less about accidents and were involved in more accidents.

Women tended to be more cautious when driving and had a more sensible driving style.
