Young Driver
Insurance may offer answer to parents' prayers

Parents fed up with having to share their car with their offspring who cannot afford their own vehicles may find a solution to their problems in insurance deals, it has been revealed.
With an estimated 18 million people named as drivers on other people's insurance policies, young driver car insurance may offer an affordable option for those looking to buy their own car, reports the Telegraph, since starting from scratch can often hoist up costs.
Statistically, young drivers have more accidents than other age groups, which boosts costs for those who have more experience.
Getting youngsters to take out their own policies may also benefit the original owner, a leading insurance company claims, who can then take advantage of the experience they have gained over a number of years of safe driving.
This follows news that drivers over 80 are just as responsible as young drivers for pushing up the accident rates. Drivers in their 80s or above cause more accidents per mile than any other age group, figures reveal, with the number of over-70s behind the wheel predicted to have reached 4.5 million by 2015.
